Overly Excited CNet Tech Nerd Hates on the Yaris LOL

I found this "review" of the 2009 Yaris from CNet to be quite entertaining. I think he's missing the point of owning a gas-sipping go-kart-esque vehicle. LOL, who uses CD's or discs w/ MP3's on them? I actually find the auxiliary audio jack to be quite handy. What are you thoughts on this review? Laughter? Agreement? Should CNet stick to reviewing printers and point and shoot cameras?

Fast Forward 3 and half Years

3 and half years later, I'm still enjoying my 2009 Toyota Yaris Sedan...especially with gas prices creeping up. I plan on updating this blog a bit more regularly, so stay tuned. In the mean time, here are some notes and reviews about my Yaris.
- I removed the the rear seat backs. I never use the back seat and this saves about 40 or 50 pounds and opens up a lot more room for storage. I've slept in this area overnight on long road trips. At 5'10", I had enough room. Who knew the Yaris was a camper, too.
- The hub caps flanges broke on 2 of the 4 wheels, so I roll without hub caps.
- Without trying, I'm averaging about 40mpg overall, mostly highway miles.
- All I've done is change the oil. She's at 80,000 miles and I know other services are recommended, but so far so good for now.
- I regularly fit my 9'6" surfboard all the way in the car and sometimes bring 1 or 2 other boards. No other passengers possible when I do this.
- I regularly fit 2 complete mountain bikes in the car (front wheels removed).
- I love the car.
